The month of May marked the exciting beginning of the Filibot project. A diverse team of students — Divij Gupta, Ayaan Imam and Abhirath Dwivedi — came together virtually under the mentorship of Saheli Mazumder and Rasheeqa Jabeen. Though spread across cities, they were united by a vision: to make learning joyful, meaningful, and tech-driven.
The first few meetings were filled with curiosity and raw energy. What is Filibot? What are we trying to build? These questions echoed as the students began brainstorming. The answer slowly became clear — Filibot would be an educational platform blending learning, play, and technology, aimed at students from grassroots communities like those in the Filix School of Education.
The initial work focused on understanding the core pillars of the project: hands-on activities, interactive games, and a user-friendly website. This was a phase of exploration and setting intentions. They looked into real classroom needs and challenges faced by rural learners, aiming to make learning accessible and enjoyable.
One highlight in May was the creation of sample activity ideas. Students designed early prototypes like:
It was also in May that the Space Trivia game idea was born — a card game merging space science with strategy and fun. The goal was not just to teach space facts but to gamify science education.
By the end of May, the foundation had been laid. The team was no longer just students; they had become designers, thinkers, and future educators. The Filibot journey had officially begun — with purpose, passion, and play.
