Week 3 of the Hundred Miles Project session saw learners continue their steady progress, even as one module had to be set aside due to organisational constraints.

In the Literacy module, the group moved from nouns to verbs, with the week’s assessment focusing on learners’ understanding of action words and their correct usage in sentences. Learners built confidently on the grammar foundation laid in Week 1, showing growing comfort with basic parts of speech.

The Numeracy module continued with further questions on the simplification of fractions, giving learners additional practice to consolidate the concepts introduced the previous week. Priyanka V. once again performed the best in this module, maintaining the strong grasp of numerical concepts she has shown since Week 1.

The Digital Literacy module could not be held this week owing to organisational difficulties. The team intends to pick up the planned content in the following session so that learners do not lose continuity in their digital skills progression.

The hands-on session continued to focus on the bullion stitch and satin stitch, with learners getting further practice to refine their technique and build muscle memory for these more intricate stitches. It was an encouraging week on the embroidery front, with Priyanka V., Priyanka S., and Susmita all receiving payment for embroidery work they had submitted — a strong signal that their craft skills are translating into tangible, income-generating outcomes.

Overall, despite the gap in Digital Literacy, Week 3 reflected solid continuity in literacy, numeracy, and embroidery, with three learners now being recognised and paid for their handiwork.
