Week 2 of the Hundred Miles Project session carried forward the steady momentum from the previous week, with learners returning engaged and ready to build on earlier lessons across all three modules.
In the Literacy module, the focus shifted to spelling, dictation, and listening comprehension, with learners assessed on how accurately they could listen to and reproduce words and short passages. This exercise helped sharpen attentiveness and reinforced the link between spoken and written English, an important step beyond last week’s work on nouns.
The Numeracy module moved into the simplification of fractions, challenging learners to work through problems requiring a clear grasp of numerator-denominator relationships and reduction to simplest form. Priyanka demonstrated the strongest performance in this module, showing a solid conceptual handle on the topic.
In Digital Literacy, learners built on their earlier introduction to Microsoft Word by learning to save a document into a specific folder using the Save As function — a practical skill that will support more structured digital work in the weeks ahead.

The hands-on session this week introduced learners to the bullion stitch and satin stitch, both of which require precision and patience. Learners practised diligently, steadily improving their control over the needle and thread. Susmita also received payment for embroidery work she had submitted, a encouraging sign of the real-world value her developing skills are beginning to generate.
Altogether, Week 2 deepened learners’ foundational skills across literacy, numeracy, and digital tools, while the embroidery session continued to build both technical ability and a sense of accomplishment heading into the coming weeks.
