The session opened with a Physics class focused on the concepts of reflection and refraction, demonstrated engagingly through the use of a laser pointer. This visual and interactive approach helped the children grasp these optical phenomena in a way that was both accessible and memorable.



The class then moved on to mathematics, where the children were introduced to the concepts of symmetry, parallel lines, and congruence. These foundational geometric ideas were explained with clarity, laying the groundwork for the practical application that would follow.
Following the classroom instruction, the session shifted outdoors, where the children set out to collect leaves as a means of observing these mathematical concepts in a real-world context. The idea was to help them connect classroom theory with nature by examining venation patterns and lines of symmetry present in the leaves of different plants.
During the leaf collection, an interesting moment of curiosity emerged when the children noticed an old house situated just opposite the collection site. Its striking, beautiful facade caught their attention, and they learned that the structure was almost 104 years old — a small but memorable discovery that added a touch of history and wonder to the day's outdoor learning experience.


The outdoor session continued as the teacher guided the children through the process of identifying venation patterns and lines of symmetry as they collected and closely observed leaves from various plants. This hands-on exploration allowed the children to see firsthand how the mathematical principles discussed earlier in class — symmetry, parallel lines, and congruence — manifested naturally in the world around them.
As a concluding exercise for the day, the children were asked to write their reflections in their respective mother tongues, giving them the opportunity to express their thoughts and experiences of the day comfortably and in their own authentic voice.
