The class began on a warm and celebratory note, with everyone taking a moment to admire the beautiful handmade cards the children had crafted for Teachers' Day. Their creativity and thoughtfulness set a cheerful tone for the rest of the session.

Following this, the teaching moved into a hands-on exploration of paper-folding, where the children learned to construct the nets of a tetrahedron and a cube. This activity helped them visualize three-dimensional shapes through simple two-dimensional folding techniques, blending geometry with tactile, creative learning.

The session then transitioned into the Creations Lab, where the children were introduced to two objects indigenous to Bengal — the dotara ( দোতারা ), a traditional string instrument, and the chorbori gari ( চড়বড়ি গাড়ি ), a traditional toy. The children eagerly tried their hand at playing the dotara and thoroughly enjoyed pulling along the chorbori gari, delighting in the simple mechanics and cultural charm of these traditional items.

Building on this experience, the facilitators introduced the children to the scientific concepts of frequency and amplitude, using the dotara as a practical, relatable example. Remarkably, the children responded to these abstract ideas with a maturity beyond their years, showing genuine curiosity and understanding as the concepts were connected to the sounds they had just experienced.

The day concluded with a reflective writing exercise, during which the children penned down their thoughts and experiences of the day in their respective mother tongues, allowing them to express themselves comfortably and authentically in their own linguistic voice.
