Katamari is 70 km from Kolkata.

In the first week of the project, four participating teachers visited the Kolkata center. They travelled for 5 hours to reach Kalighat from the remote Katamari village near Sundarbans.

In the second week the trainee teachers started computer literacy course. They learned how to create lesson plans. Finally they began ideating on small business concepts with our team.

It is third week of our activity. One of the trainee-teachers seems really interested. She has attended all three of the sessions.

On the 4th day of Sundarban Faculty Training, teachers explored tourism ideas, created GK content, learnt Google Sheets, and practised Bengali "যুক্তাক্ষর" with maths. The project links classroom learning with local skills and community growth.

In Week 5, Sundarban teachers learnt to check answer sheets and plan nursery lessons in English, Bengali, and Math. They practised alphabets, numbers 1–20, spellings, and simple sums for young learners.

In the sixth week, the teachers learnt about ChatGPT and how to use it in daily life and classrooms. They discovered how it can help in making lesson plans, creating questions, and training students.

In Week 7 of the Sundarban Faculty Training, teachers strengthened their English grammar and revision skills through practical lessons based on ‘Amar Boi.’ They also revisited ChatGPT to create lesson ideas and discussed the responsible use of AI, blending traditional teaching with digital learning for more engaging classrooms.

In Week 8 of the Sundarban Faculty Training, teachers learned to guide students in writing paragraphs on “Amar Sundarban” in Bengali and English. The session also introduced the basics of English Tense and encouraged the balanced use of digital tools to create meaningful, engaging classroom lessons.

In Week 9, Sundarban teachers focused on English grammar, exam reviews, and professional emailing. New Kankinara members joined, practicing classroom decorum and technical skills like using Google Docs to design student question papers. This progress comes as your channel, Cheenta Academy, manages content updates and copyright visibility.

In Week 10, teachers of Sunadarban and Kankinara strengthened their understanding of English grammar, learning Subject-Verb-Object and be-verbs while continuing tense practice. They also developed digital communication skills by practicing how to write clear and professional official emails.

11th week of the Sundarban Faculty Training and Kankinara Programme was conducted with a focus on strengthening basic English grammar, formal writing skills, and spoken communication. The session began with a revision of be-verbs, as it was observed that some participants were still facing confusion in their correct usage.

12th week of the Sundarban Faculty Training and Kankinara Programme focused on evaluating learning progress while continuing to develop English and professional skills. The session began with an English assessment in the form of a question paper. The paper included a passage from a story, followed by comprehension questions, grammar exercises, synonym-based questions, and a summary-writing task.

Week 13 blended digital literacy with English language reinforcement. Participants learned to use ChatGPT for learning support and practiced professional email etiquette. The sessions also included a revision of grammar concepts to improve communication accuracy. Shrabani continues to attend regularly, participating actively and showing a sincere commitment to learning new skills.

Week 14 focused on evaluating progress through a structured examination covering English skills, grammar, and digital awareness. The assessment emphasized practical application rather than memorization, helping identify strengths and areas for improvement. This week also marked a transition, as the programme continued exclusively with the Kankinara faculty. Overall, the sessions reinforced the importance of assessment, adaptability, and continuous professional development.

Week 15 focused on consolidating previously learned skills rather than introducing new topics. Participants engaged in guided revision of English grammar to improve accuracy and practiced digital tools, such as email, to boost technical confidence. Overall, the sessions reinforced clarity and self-reliance, helping participants become more consistent and prepared learners.

Week 16 focused on enhancing pedagogical skills, fostering innovative teaching methodologies, and addressing the evolving needs of educators in a dynamic classroom environment. Through collaborative workshops and expert-led discussions, faculty members engaged in professional development aimed at improving student engagement and academic excellence.

Week 17 focused on enhancing digital documentation skills using Google Docs. Participants learned to format and structure professional question-answer papers for classroom use. The sessions also covered designing balanced question patterns, including short and descriptive answers, aligned with student levels. Overall, this training improved their ability to create effective academic resources and boosted classroom readiness.
