July was the month where Filibot met code. With activities and games in progress, it was time to bring everything online — creating a digital hub for learners and educators.
Students began developing the Felix School Website, focusing particularly on:
It started with designing PDF formats for student report cards — including competency-skill pairs, overall performance, and teacher remarks. Soon, this static design was transformed into a dynamic, UI-based interface built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students even explored AI-powered analytics, allowing the system to recommend skill areas based on academic data.
Every line of code was a learning experience. Some had never coded before — but now, they were debugging layouts, aligning divs, and learning about front-end frameworks. The team used step-by-step development — starting with basic features before adding advanced components like relative vs absolute grading and analytics graphs.
July also brought challenges. Technical hurdles slowed progress. Styling errors, server bugs, and data mapping issues tested their patience. Yet, the students showed incredible resolve — learning from YouTube tutorials, mentors, and each other.
Storytelling emerged even in code. One student described how the visual layout of the grading dashboard “should feel like a digital report card that makes a child feel proud — not anxious.”
By the end of July, Filibot wasn’t just about play anymore — it was about data-driven education, and students were becoming builders of digital futures.
