The class began with an engaging outdoor activity, as the children ventured into the neighbourhood of Lake Place to identify polygons present in their everyday surroundings. They observed and spotted various geometric shapes within the balcony grills of nearby buildings and the bamboo structures of the Durga Puja pandals that were under construction, connecting classroom geometry with real-world, festive settings.

Adding an element of excitement to the activity, an impromptu contest was organized, challenging the children to spot the maximum number of triangles within these structures. The friendly competition sparked enthusiasm among the participants, with each child keenly scanning the grills and bamboo frameworks for triangular patterns. The contest was won by Moitreyee, who impressively spotted 18 triangles, showcasing sharp observational skills and a keen eye for geometric detail.
Following this lively outdoor session, the class moved indoors, where the children engaged in a hands-on creative activity of making paper cubes using colourful papers. This exercise combined artistic expression with geometric construction, allowing the children to apply their understanding of three-dimensional shapes while enjoying the tactile and visual appeal of working with vibrant paper materials.

To conclude the day's session, the children took part in a reflective writing exercise, penning down their thoughts and experiences of the day in their notebooks. This allowed them to consolidate their learning, from spotting polygons in real-world structures to constructing paper cubes, while also reflecting on the enjoyable and competitive spirit of the day's outdoor activity.
