Problem - 12
Answer - there are 90 guppies in total
let the number of guppies in the first tank be - A
As there is 1 more guppi in the 2nd tank than 1st tank so there are
A+ 1 guppies in the second tank.
As there are 2 more guppies in the 3rd tank than the second tank so there are
A+ 3 guppies in the third tank.
As there are 3 more guppies in the 4th tank than the third tank so there are
A+6 guppies in the 4th tank.
If the sum this information we get that
A+(A+1)+(A+3)+(A+6)= 4 A+10 = 90
So we get that A=20
And as the fourth tank = A+6 = 20+6= 26
So the number of guppies in the 4th tank = 26
Option- (E) - 26
